Our world is facing some very serious challenges right now.

Many humans seem to have lost a connection with our natural world, viewing it primarily as a disposable resource to be used for personal and/or financial gain.

My hope is that Finding Wonder will help remind people of this beautiful planet on which we live.  No species is disposable; every single one has a purpose. As John Muir famously said, "When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe."

By finding wonder in our world - no matter where you are - you can begin to reconnect with our natural world and cherish it,

not as a resource, but as kin....

necessary for our very existence.

Please note:  All photos on Finding Wonder were taken by me, but I make no claim of being a professional photographer.  I am merely a nature lover who carries a bridge camera (Canon PowerShot SX50) and an iPhone when I am out and about. My intention is to inspire readers of Finding Wonder to go out and find some of the many wonders in the natural world, even your own back yard.  No specialized equipment is required!

Note about use of images: My images may be shared for non-commercial purposes, as long as they are not altered in any way,  and credit is given to me, the photographer - Merry Stuhr.  Thank you!
